Food and Drink: The seafood in Tela was pretty good.  We had a seafood paella at Bahia Azul in Tela and a seafood soup at another beach-front restaurant.  Both were good but don’t make our must-eats list.

Must Eats:
In fact, we don’t have any must eats.  Between being sick and being on a tight budget, we didn’t get to try a lot of things.  We’re sure there are must eats out there, but we missed them.

Highlights:

  • Enjoying the view while having a beer at Maya Vista Hotel and Restaurant in Tela.

Best Deal:

  • Trading a ratty Anne Rice novel for a used (6-year-old) Mexico Lonely Planet guidebook at the Maya Vista book exchange.
